Mother's Day Weekend

This Mother's Day weekend was so many of my favorite things all in a few days!! I could not have asked for anything more + wish we could do that every weekend! We started off the weekend bright & early at Table Rock State Park- We have hiked to the top of Table Rock quite a few times, but never pregnant much less 7 months pregnant + Mac carrying a 22lb toddler on his back. I'm not sure if we are adventurous or just crazy ;-) We figured why not try though! & if we had to turn around after a few minutes, no big deal, we still love table rock & it would be a fun day no matter what.

I am pretty surprised & proud to say we made it all the way to the top + to the main overlook! & even crazier, the hike really didn't take very much longer than usual, we expected to add quite a bit of time so we were super surprised :-O Although, we did spend an extra 30 minutes at the top just hanging out & recharging. My husband is such a trooper, I know a wiggly toddler made for quite an interesting treck up the mountain, but he never complained & was a great encourager the whole time! I am so thankful I'm married to someone who loves to hike 7.5 miles just for fun with me and enjoys the whole thing!

Sunday was great as well, we headed to church & then to the pool for the afternoon. Our legs were just  a BIT shaky from the day before ;-) so a lazy day at the pool was just what the doctor ordered.

I love that mac got this picture of me with my 2 favorite kiddos on Mother's Day- This is what being a mom is all about! I love being pregnant & love that little boy, so this shot captures those so perfectly.

This kid is such a fish in the water, he is pretty fearless, it's actually a bit nerve racking bc he wanted to just jump out of your arms & hope for the best in the water! Swim lessons start soon & I know he will pick it up in no time!

We carried our Mother's Day weekend celebration on into the next week as well! Tuesday was $2 Tuesday at the Simpsonville Fair so we decided to hold off & go then since we knew we probably wouldn't stay too long & didn't know how much there would be for Mason to do anyway. It turned out to be such a fun night & the ride workers were so sweet to let Mason ride a few rides he was just a tad too short for, but were totally safe for him. He wasn't sure about being left alone on rides at first, but once each one started up he forgot all about his fears & had a blast. It was a little sad to watch my "little baby" riding rides all alone like such a big boy, he is growing up so quick!
